Dress Code
The House of Jacob Bible Study Class adheres to the dress code for worship as outlined in the King James Version of the bible in 1 Corinthians 11:4-7
“Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonoureth his head. But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven. For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered. For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.”
Men
Upon entering the premises and during your stay, we kindly request that you remove any head coverings. Additionally, we encourage everyone to refrain from wearing short pants, tight-fitting trousers, fleece jogging pants, or any attire that may be considered revealing. For our younger male visitors, please ensure that you secure your belts around your waist, tuck your shirt into your trousers, and wear the straps of your overalls securely over your shoulders. Thank you for your cooperation.
Women
We kindly request that women cover their heads with a hat, scarf, or similar attire as it is a necessary practice. Additionally, we ask that you avoid wearing garments with high slits, overly tight-fitting bottoms, halter tops, or any type of pants, shorts, or skorts that may not adhere to our modesty guidelines. Your cooperation in dressing modestly is greatly appreciated.
